Faye Stein

Last summer was the first time I did the Tour de Simcha ride. After the Petirah of my father, Reb Shmuel Tzvi Stern,z"L, I decided to undertake the ride in the zechus of his Neshama having an Aliyah,
I reached out to so many friends and family and the support and the generosity displayed by all was unbelievable. I hope that everyone can continue to sponsor this worthy cause. Everyone's wishes and encouragement were so heartwarming. It really warmed my heart and made be feel that I had so many people cheering me on, on that boiling hot day in July. The experience last year was incredible, training with our group of amazing women from Montreal was inspiring. I have decided that I want to do the ride again. The camaraderie that we experienced during our training was priceless. The build-up to the event was exciting. Once again I will dedicate the ride to my father's memory, his 1st yahrzeit is the 26 of Iyar. I would also like to dedicate my ride to the memory of my Aunt Goldie Berger z"l who passed away in July 2018, and to my cousin Sarah Kerzner who passed away on Rosh Chodesh Elul, after many years of battling ALS.

This summer I will bike from Central Jersey through Upstate NY to support kids suffering from pediatric illness. This is no ordinary cycling event; it’s an exhilarating ride ending at Camp Simcha, a remarkable overnight camp that provides seriously ill children with a vacation from sickness, restoring their spirits and renewing their determination to fight. The experience of riding into the camp with all the campers and visitors is truly unbelievable. The work and the efforts that the staff put into the camp and the kids makes our efforts at fundraising seem so worthwhile. I can't wait to relive this moment.

The ride won't be easy; neither is life for a child with cancer or other serious illness. Camp Simcha and its sister camp, Camp Simcha Special, are Chai Lifeline’s flagship programs. Every year these two camps offer 430 children a chance to forget about illness and just be kids again. To learn more about Camp Simcha and Camp Simcha special, visit campsimcha.org.

I will be biking to camp on Tuesday, July 16th, 2019. My objective is to raise $3,600 by then, and I hope you will help me reach this goal. All donations are 100% tax-deductible.

Please contribute by clicking on the donate button now.

Thank you for supporting me and, in doing so, helping children and their families cope with the diagnosis, treatment, and aftermath of serious pediatric illness.

Best regards,

Faye Stein
